BoomFi came to Noir with a clear brief: help us define and communicate a strategy that makes crypto payments accessible and trusted by businesses everywhere. In a crowded space of payment providers and Web3 tools, the challenge was to stand out in messaging and help achieve product market fit.

Our first step was strategy. We ran workshops with the BoomFi team to dig into the core problems businesses were facing. It became clear that crypto had a big role in the future of payments, but the path there is too complex. From wallets to compliance, the businesses BoomFi served weren’t confident about integrating crypto payments into their e-commerce platforms.

And that was the insight that stuck.

Confidence is the number one route to progress

In a space full of technical jargon and risk, what businesses needed was simplicity. More than that, they needed a partner that would help them move forward with confidence. Confidence to adopt new payment methods. Confidence that operations won’t break. Confidence that they are fully compliant. Confidence that they can grow.

So we built a strategy around that principle: abstract away complexity, optimize for simplicity.

Modern payments for modern business

BoomFi is a universal payment suite designed for modern businesses. With an adaptable, agile, and modular tech stack, acting as a bridge between traditional and crypto payment systems. Our goal was to express that simply and clearly.

We positioned BoomFi as a Web2.5 company: not crypto-native, not legacy fintech but a flexible partner that helps businesses move between the two worlds. This meant highlighting not just its crypto tools, but how easily it integrates with existing platforms like Stripe, Xero, and QuickBooks.

For BoomFi’s customers, this was essential. Whether they were early crypto adopters or entirely new to digital assets, they wanted a system that worked with what they already had, not one that forced them to rebuild.

Defining the full product suite

One of the strategic challenges was helping BoomFi communicate not just one product, but an entire ecosystem. Most people knew them for their crypto payment gateway, but their crypto exchange and on/off-ramp tools were equally powerful. We needed to bring all three together under one story.

We defined each product with clarity:

  • Payment Gateway: Accept payments in both crypto and card through one checkout.
  • Crypto Exchange: Automatically liquidate or convert crypto into fiat, or settle in your token of choice.
  • Card On-Ramp: Let users buy crypto directly from your site, embedded seamlessly.

Together, these formed the universal payment suite. A full stack of solutions that made BoomFi an infrastructure layer for digital business.

A partner, not just a processor

Throughout our strategy work, we reinforced BoomFi’s positioning not as a plugin or provider, but as a partner. One that grows with you, adapts to your needs, and helps unlock new markets and revenue models.

BoomFi is there when businesses need to:

  • Offer new payment options
  • Enter new regions
  • Launch pre-sales for tokens or NFTs
  • Accept donations from anywhere in the world
  • Build subscription businesses with crypto

That adaptability was essential.

Designing confidence

With the strategy in place, we translated the message into a bold new identity. The design system centers around a vibrant fluo yellow, a bright, optimistic colour that signals clarity and progress. We paired this with deep greens and neutral greys to ground the brand in professionalism.

The logo, an abstract directional arrow formed from a 'boom' shape, became a symbol of motion and clarity. It represents two key ideas: smooth transactions and confident growth.

The tone of voice was just as important. It had to be human, authentic, and functional. Not flowery or full of tech jargon. We focused every line on how BoomFi makes money easier, payments faster, and growth more accessible.

In a market full of crypto noise, BoomFi cuts through with clarity. By abstracting complexity and optimising for simplicity, BoomFi is helping more businesses say yes to innovation. And with a brand that reflects their strategy; bright, functional, and forward-looking, they’re ready to lead the next wave of financial progress.
